Derk is a well respected gaming protection consultant with over twenty-eight years of experience within the gaming industry. He has served in executive positions in security, surveillance and compliance capacities for American Casino and Entertianment Properties, Grand Casinos, Ballys, Aztar, and Del Webb corporations. Derk has earned professional certification as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), and as a Certified Surveillance Professional (CSP). Presently, Derk serves on the Gaming and Wagering Council for ASIS International and is a past Chairman for the Council. Derk is currently the President of the International Association of Certified Surveillance Professionals (IACSP) and is one of its founding members. Derk is a well known speaker and author, speaking and writing on gaming protection, loss prevention, and detection of internal and external theft and fraud.
