Gary L. Powell, a highly trained individual in Casino Game Protection. Mr. Powell has over 25 years of investigative and casino gaming experience. His extensive career includes nine years with the Nevada State Gaming Control Board Enforcement Division. He has held such positions as Surveillance Manager for the Mandalay Resort Group at the Luxor; Corporate Director of Surveillance for Horseshoe properties; and Director of Surveillance and Game Protection for JMJ Management, Inc. He is a gaming consultant for numerous Native American gaming properties to include conducting game protection seminars and surveillance room design. He is currently employed with CYRUN, Leaders in Law Enforcement and Homeland Security Solutions.
Mr. Powell was elected President of the worldwide Surveillance Information Network in 2001. He is a designer of satellite and DSL surveillance systems, and is highly trained in investigative, security and game protection, and is proficient in establishing policies and directives for single and multiple hotel and casino surveillance and security operations to ensure smooth and efficient operation as well as the protection of company assets. He has the ability to spot and prevent potential problems dealing with crowd control and personal protection matters.
During Mr. Powell’s tenure with the Nevada State Gaming Control Board he worked both criminal and regulatory cases and serving with the Intelligence Section. He specialized in undercover operations, which led to the arrests of individuals cheating at gambling and embezzlements. Mr. Powell’s impressive career led to the election by fellow officers to serve in the capacity of President of the Protective Association of Gaming Agents.
